Please read this Disclaimer and Terms and Conditions prior to enquiring any services from this Web Site. These Terms and Conditions govern the use of this Web Site and the purchase of any services from it.

1. The Security Systems Company may amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time. Any amendment will be effective immediately. Your continued use of this Web Site after any amendment becomes effective constitutes an agreement by you to abide by and be bound by these Terms and Conditions, as so amended.

2. Should you have any questions or wish to clarify the meaning of any of these terms and conditions, please contact The Security Systems Company on (03) 9100 1968 prior to enquiring for any services from this Web Site.

3. The Security Systems Company has the right to ask for either full payment for service call outs or a 50% deposit for new installations. Once paid, you acknowledge acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. Please note that these payments are final and non-refundable.

4. The Security Systems Company uses its best efforts to maintain The Security Systems Company services but is not responsible for the results of any defects that may be found to exist in the services, or any lost profits or other consequential damages that may result from such defects.

5. All Security Systems installed by The Security Systems Company are covered by the manufacturer’s warranty, generally 12 months unless otherwise stated, and a 12 month Labour warranty. If a fault with the security system occurs within 12 months from the installation date, The Security Systems Company will return to the site and cover all labour costs. If the fault is determined to be caused by either client error or damage by other parties, our current service hourly labour rate will be applied. After 12 months, labour will be charged at our current service hourly rate, regardless of whether the manufacturers’ warranty has expired or not. If the manufacturer's warranty is still valid, The Security Systems Company will liaise with the manufacturer on the clients’ behalf to replace any faulty parts. Each attendance at the clients’ premises will be charged separately when outside of the 12 month labour warranty period.

6. If a technician appointment is booked by the client who then is not present or does not have an alternative representative to provide access to the property when our technicians arrive, this will be deemed a missed appointment. A rebooking fee will be applied to reschedule the missed appointment. This is applicable for installation, service or warranty appointments.

7. The Security Systems Company will provide licensed service technicians on an hourly rate or pre agreed quotation for services. Our service rate does not guarantee a positive result. We will endeavour to remedy any fault present. As some issues may be difficult to diagnose, an underlying equipment fault may not present while we are on site, we are not able to control the outcome of each visit. If further visits are required, these will be charged at the same rate and on the same basis.
